You are invited to participate in a webinar hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau on Wednesday, August 29 at 2:00 PM Eastern/1:00 PM Central to learn about the Women's Bureau's Trauma–Informed Care guide for service providers of female veterans or those organizations that may have female veterans among the population they serve. With an increasing number of women veterans returning home, this Guide can be a useful educational tool for your organization.
The Women’s Bureau is working with the Indiana Commission for Women to share information on our programs with organizations serving women in Indiana. On the webinar, information will be shared on the Guide and how it can be used to benefit organizations serving women veterans. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and explore collaborative opportunities.
The mission of the Women’s Bureau is to develop policies and standards and conduct inquiries to safeguard the interests of working women; to advocate for their equality and economic security for themselves and their families; and to promote quality work environments. One of its areas of focus is helping women veterans find a path to good jobs and financial security. The Trauma-Informed Care guide offers concrete suggestions, based on women veteran feedback and academic research, on how to ensure programs meet and understand their distinct experiences as women veterans.
