Entry Description
Southern, Indiana-The Indiana State Police is in the middle of its annual marijuana eradication program. During the next several months the Marijuana Eradication Team will be searching by ground and air for indoor marijuana grow operations, cultivated marijuana plants, and marijuana growing wild throughout Indiana.
During the last several marijuana eradication seasons, troopers with the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg eradicated thousands of cultivated marijuana plants. Troopers have also discovered numerous indoor marijuana grow operations, made hundreds of criminal arrests, and seized millions of dollars worth of assets from offenders.
Earlier today, troopers took some media representatives on a Marijuana Eradication Mission in southern Scott County where several marijuana plants were eradicated. Later, troopers eradicated approximately 100 more marijuana plants in Harrison and Clark Counties.
Marijuana use is a scourge to our society and your Indiana State Police wants to put all dope dealers out of business. To achieve this goal troopers must hear from the public. Troopers are asking anyone with information concerning individuals who are cultivating marijuana to contact the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg at 1-800-872-6743 or 812-246-5424. All callers may remain anonymous. By turning in drug dealers you can make your community a better place to live. |
