[s30] Meridian Hills Community to Host Celebration on Saturday

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 16, 2012) – The community of Meridian Hills is hosting a party on Saturday with food, live music and a proclamation from State Sen. Scott Schneider (R-Indianapolis) honoring the town’s 75th anniversary.
 
“Meridian Hills adds to the greatness of the Indianapolis area,” Schneider said. “It’s a thriving community and good place to raise a family. I have enjoyed representing the town for the past three years and look forward to seeing it continue to prosper.” 
 
The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, on the campus of Park Tudor, 7200 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, 46240. Festivities include a picnic, entertainment, bounce houses, games, a classic car show and presentations by local leaders.
 
Meridian Hills was established in 1937. It became incorporated on Aug. 14, 1937, and consolidated with the City of Indianapolis in 1970.
