Entry Description
Dubois County: The Indiana State Police are investigating the drowning of a four year old boy in rural Dubois County.
At approximately 6:14 p.m. tonight the Dubois County Communications Center received a 911 call that Kai Neukem, 4, St. Anthony was missing in the area of 3080 South Santine Road, St. Anthony, IN. Officers from the Indiana State Police, Indiana Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officers and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office responded, but at approximately 6:18 p.m., before officers arrived, Kai was found in a nearby lake.
CPR was started and Kai was transported by Dubois County EMS to Jasper Memorial Hospital. From there he was flown to St. Mary’s in Evansville.
