Start Date: 7/14/2012Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 7/14/2012End Time: 11:59 PM
Entry Description

Henry County – Last night shortly after 8:30 p.m. Pendleton Troopers served a search warrant on a rural Henry County home at 1040 North County Road 900 East.  The warrant was a result of an investigation by the State Police Meth Suppression Unit into a possible meth lab at the residence.

When officers entered the home they found the ingredients and tools used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.  Five people were in the home and all were arrested for Possession of Precursors used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Class “D” Felony.

Arrested was Jay E. Johnson, age 39, Jean Smith, age 33 and Cheryl K. Collins, age 49, all of the 1040 N. CR 900 East address; also arrested was Jeremy A. Nunley, age 40 of Losantville and Nicole Lang age 22, of Hagerstown.  All five were lodged in the Henry County Jail on the Class “D” Felony charge.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.  Troopers continue to check Pseudoephedrine sales logs at retailers that sell the drug, and they continue to follow up on tips received from the public.

Anyone with information about illegal drug use may call the Pendleton Post at 1-800-527-4752, or the Indiana State Police Drug Tip Line at 1-800-453-4756. Tips can be made and kept anonymous.  The Indiana Meth Investigation System or IMIS, can also take tips on meth labs.  Just go to www.meth.in.gov and click on the “Report Suspected Meth Activity” Link

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
