Friday, Saturday
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) plans to restrict traffic lanes on Interstate 70 Friday night and Saturday morning near Mt. Comfort Road.
On Friday, June 8 at 9 p.m., crews from Rieth-Riley Construction will restrict the right shoulder of the eastbound entrance ramp to Interstate 70 from Mt. Comfort Road. The ramp will remain open, but traffic will be restricted to a 12-foot driving lane. The work on the ramp shoulder is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Saturday.
On Saturday, June 9, I-70 westbound will be restricted to a single lane as crews close the right lane to replace a damaged crash impact attenuator at the Buck Creek bridge just before Exit 96 to Mt. Comfort Road. The right lane restriction will begin at 5 a.m. and is expected to end by 8 a.m.
Also on Saturday morning, I-70 eastbound will be restricted to a single lane as crews close the right lane between Exit 91 to Post Road and Exit 96 to Mt. Comfort Road. Crews will be working on the right shoulder between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. and require the lane restriction for the safety of motorists and workers.
