Workshop Just for Siblings of Children With Hearing Loss

Announcing Sibshops at Hear Indiana's Camp
June 24, 2012 (1:00pm-4:00pm)

Sibshops provide support and guidance to siblings of children with special medical or developmental needs. The Sibshop being offered in conjunction with the Hear Indiana’s Camp will be for brothers and sisters who have a sibling with hearing loss. This workshop is for typically developing siblings between the ages of 7 to 13. Older siblings can serve as volunteers (email naomi.horton@hearindiana.org if interested in volunteering). 

This year’s Sibshop will be run by Julie Schulte, an audiologist, sibling of an adult with a profound hearing loss and the Interim Program Director of the Early Hearing Program at the Indiana State Department of Health. Additional volunteers will be present throughout the workshop to assist Julie.
 
You must sign-up in advance, to attend the Sibshop. Go To http://hearindiana.org/Resources/Documents/Sibshop2012v2.pdf to download the registration form.

This Sibshop will be presented at registration day at the Hear Indiana’s Camp. For families of current campers, there will be no additional cost for participation in the Sibshop. Families making more than $36,000 are kindly asked to pay a $10 administrative fee per child. Snacks and drinks will be provided. If your child is interested in participating, please complete the following information and return it to Hear Indiana at PO Box 347, Zionsville, IN 46077 or fax it to 888-798-4711 or email to info@hearindiana.org.
