| [INSHAPE] Hoosier Outdoor Experience |
|
Entry Description
The Hoosier Outdoor Experience is a free program designed to introduce families who are uncomfortable or inexperienced in the outdoors to the joys and adventures available across the State of Indiana. Our goal is to get everyone outside: getting healthy while enjoying and connecting with nature. This is not a trade show, sport show or commercial event. It is a experiential opportunity for each participant to try a wide-array of outdoor activities like hiking, wilderness navigation, wildlife management, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, hunting, and fishing, all hosted by experts and local conservation and grassroots recreation organizations. Participants will leave with the knowledge of what opportunities exist in Indiana and will know experts who are available to help them develop their new found interests in the great outdoors.
Over 120 conservation and recreation groups from across the State of Indiana have pledged volunteers, financial resources and program assistance to ensure Fourth Annual Experience is a tremendous success.
