[ISP] Grandfather Arrested for Child Molestation

Entry Description

Putnam County—This evening at 7:00, Indiana State Police detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division at the Putnamville Post arrested a Putnam County grandfather for allegedly molesting a four year old male and nine year old female, both relatives of the grandfather. The acts occurred at the grandfather’s residence in Greencastle and on multiple occasions over the last six months. The crimes were reported by the victim’s parents on Thursday, May 17th.

ARRESTED: Frank Nuz Jr. age 68, of Greencastle, IN. Nuz was arrested at the Putnamville State Police Post and is currently in the Putnam County Jail with no bond.

CHARGES:     Two counts of Child Molesting, A felony; Two counts of Child Molesting, C felony; and one count of Child Solicitation, D felony.

The case was investigated by ISP Detective Deanna Jones. Assisting were ISP Detectives First Sergeant Jeff Hearon and Sam Stearley, and the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
