Entry Description
I-69 Restriction Wednesday Night
At 116th Street, State Road 37
FISHERS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) plans to restrict traffic lanes on northbound I-69 at the 116th Street and State Road 37 interchange (Exit 5) this week. Alternating lane restrictions will be necessary overnight Wednesday for pavement marking operations.
Milestone Contractors will restrict one traffic lane at a time on northbound I-69 as crews modify pavement markings at the 116th Street and State Road 37 (Exit 5) interchange. Overnight restrictions will take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., and all ramp lanes are expected to remain open.
The Operation Indy Commute project is an initiative by INDOT to strategically eliminate recurring commuting bottlenecks on I-69 in Marion and Hamilton Counties. The program is modeled after successful, quick-turnaround traffic flow improvements built in other states under the Federal Highway Administration’s Localized Bottleneck Reduction Program.
