Washington County-Yesterday afternoon, Trooper Nathan Teusch received a tip that Blane A. Long from Ellettsville, IN was possibly in rural Washington County hiding from Ellettsville Police for an armed robbery he had allegedly committed at a gas station/convenience store in Ellettsville on May 6th.

The tip led Trooper Teusch, who had trooper trainee Nicholas Yaeger riding with him, to an address on Palmyra Lake Road in rural Washington County, near Pekin. When Trooper Teusch arrived he noticed the silver Dodge pick-up truck Blane A. Long was suppose to be driving and a person matching Blane A. Long’s description driving. He stopped the vehicle and placed Blane A. Long under arrest without incident.

During a search of the truck Blane A. Long was driving several guns, drug paraphernalia and suspected Marijuana Under Thirty Grams was located.

Blane A. Long was released to Ellettsville authorities and incarcerated at the Monroe County Jail on the charge of Armed Robbery. A report will be forwarded to the Washington County Prosecutor to determine if any charges will be filed against Blane A.
