Entry Description
Fountain County-At approximately 12:16 a.m. on the 29th of April, the Indiana State Police at Lafayette along with the Fountain County Sheriff’s Department, were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover on Stringtown Road near I-74 in Fountain County.
Trooper Katie Krueger arrived on the scene and discovered a red 2004 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Mark Haymaker, 48 years old from Veedersburg, IN. The truck had left the roadway, struck a culvert and had rolled completely over. The driver was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, IN where he was treated for a complaint of back pain and released. Haymaker was then transported and booked into Fountain County Jail in Covington, IN on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. The truck was a total loss.
Haymaker was wearing his seatbelt which Trooper Krueger advised probably prevented more serious injuries. Assisting at the scene was the Fountain County Sheriff’s Department.
All Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |
