Entry Description

INDIANAPOLIS – Drivers can learn the locations of work zones and traffic restrictions by calling INDOT’s TrafficWise at 1-800-261-ROAD (7623) or online at www.TrafficWise.IN.gov.  INDOT reminds drivers to follow posted speed limits, maintain a safe following distance, use caution and remain aware of workers and other drivers when traveling through a work zone.

NORTH SIDE:

Allisonville Road at I-465

  • I-465 ramps at Allisonville Road will have overnight restrictions on Friday, April 13 to place temporary striping and concrete barrier wall.

 

  • Center Run/86th Street will have overnight lane restrictions between Allisonville Road and 82nd Street for paving and striping operations on Friday, April 13.

 

  • Keystone Avenue northbound ramp from 86th Street will have overnight restrictions on Friday, April 13 for striping operations. 

 

US 31 Hamilton County

  • US 31 southbound to Keystone Parkway closed on April 9 for 90 days. 

 

  • US 31 northbound will have short-term stoppages overnight (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.) on Friday, April 13 for demolition of the southbound Keystone Parkway bridge.

 

  • 146th Street over US 31 between Greyhound Pass/Lowes Way and Clay Terrace Boulevard/Western Way has a left lane restriction in both directions for installation of median curb.

 

  • US 31 southbound is expected to be redirected overnight on Friday, April 13 via median crossovers to share the east side of the roadway with northbound traffic between 151st Street and the Monon Trail, just south of Range Line Road and Clay Terrace Boulevard.  Two lanes and turn lanes will be maintained in each direction.  The existing southbound roadway will be closed as reconstruction begins. 

 

  • US 31 access from Circle Drive will be closed on Friday, April 13 and Frontage Road will provide access to Clay Terrace Boulevard and Range Line Road.

 

  • Clay Terrace Boulevard and Range Line Road at US 31 will be shifted to temporary pavement on Friday, April 13 as construction begins on a ramp from US 31 southbound to Clay Terrace Boulevard and a bridge over Range Line Road.  One lane of traffic will be open in each direction and a new intersection with US 31 will be used. 

 

  • US 31 at SR 38 is reduced to one lane in each direction.  Southbound traffic is redirected to share the east side of the roadway with northbound traffic.  Northbound entrance and exit ramps are open.  Southbound entrance and exit ramps are closed.

 

EAST SIDE:

  • I-70 eastbound will have a right lane restriction between Post Road (exit 91) and Mt. Comfort Road (exit 96) on Saturday, April 14 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.for guardrail repairs.

 

  • I-70 westbound will have a right lane restriction near Mt. Comfort Road (exit 96) on Saturday, April 14 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for pavement widening.

  • I-70 in both directions from Post Road (exit 91) to just east of Mt. Comfort Road (exit 96) has shifting work zone traffic patterns with median crossovers.  Two lanes of traffic remain open in both directions. 

WEST SIDE:

  • US 40/Washington Street westbound at I-465 will have a right lane restriction on Monday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the installation of lights on the I-465 overpass. 

 

  • US 40/Washington Street westbound has a median crossover to the south side of the roadway between I-465 and Glen Arms Road.  Two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction as the north side of the road is reconstructed through May.
