Entry Description
I-465 & US 136
Restrictions
This Week
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will restrict traffic on Interstate 465 and US 136 this week as crews install bridge beams at the interchange.
Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, will restrict the left two lanes of southbound I-465 at the US 136 interchange on Wednesday, April 11 and the left two lanes of northbound I-465 on Thursday, April 12. The overnight restrictions will begin at 9 p.m. and lanes are expected to reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning.
Eastbound US 136 will be closed at the same time as crews install concrete beams for the I-465 bridge over US 136. Eastbound US 136 traffic will be detoured south to Tenth Street (exit 14), where drivers can return north to US 136 and Crawfordsville Road (exit 15). Westbound US 136 will remain unaffected by these restrictions.
To learn of highway restrictions and work zones before departing, call 1-888-261-ROAD (7623) or visit www.TrafficWise.IN.gov to see an online map. For the latest INDOT news and information, visit www.indot.in.gov.
