Entry Description
Roberta Heiman, President of the Evansville-area Trails Coalition, has announced a special bicycle class, organized for women who are interested in riding and I wanted to share the information in hopes that some of our female members will attend.
Registration is being taken now for a new Bicycle Maintenance and Safety Class for Women. It’s free and will be taught by Sgt. Jason Cullum of the Evansville Police Department, a certified instructor. This class is open to all women, particularly those who want to learn the basics of bicycle repair (how to fix a broken chain or flat tire, for example, or how to adjust the gears) and those who have concerns about the safety of biking.
April 14, a Saturday, at 10 AM at Garvin Park near the shelter by the greenway trailhead
April 16, a Monday, at 6 p.m. near the Evansville Museum parking lot downtown.
Helmets are required.
Register on line at info@evansville-areatrailscoalition.org.
Sgt. Cullum is going to lead a bike ride after the instruction.
