[ISP] Scott County Man Arrested for Child Seduction

Entry Description

Southern, Indiana-Today at approximately 6:30 AM, trooper Mickey Neal arrested Jacob M. Blanton, 25, from U.S. Highway 31, Scottsburg, IN, for Child Seduction, D Felony. He was arrested on a warrant that was issued out of the Floyd County Circuit Court on March 23rd .

The arrest warrant was the result of a case that Detective David Miller from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg was assigned in December of 2011. As a result of the investigation it was determined Jacob M. Blanton allegedley had sexual relations with a female under 18 years of age in Floyd County.

Jacob M. Blanton was incarcerated in the Floyd County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.

The New Albany City Police and the Madison City Police assisted in this investigation.

All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
