Entry Description
Pack your swim suit and beach towel; it’s time to head to camp! If your child has diabetes, take off to Camp John Warvel, hosted by the American Diabetes Association. Camp John Warvel is June 10-16 2012 at YMCA Camp Crosley in North Webster, Indiana. This program is designed to give children with diabetes, ages 7-15, a safe place to learn how to better manage their diabetes while making new friends and enjoying the outdoors. A special program is offered for teens ages 16-17. Camp John Warvel is equipped with 24/7 medical supervision, so you can relax knowing your child will be in good hands. Register at www.diabetes.org/adacampjohnwarvel or contact the American Diabetes Association - Indiana Area office at 317-352-9226, ext. 6732, or cdixon@diabetes.org. Application deadline is April 27. Get ready for a week of cannonballs into the lake, kayaking, giant swings, crafts and fun diabetes education at Camp John Warvel.
