INDOT Awards Contract for
US 52 & German Church,
Buck Creek Bridge
GREENFIELD, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is awarding a contract to improve the intersection of US 52 and German Church Road in Marion County.
Rieth-Riley Construction of Goshen, Indiana submitted the lowest of seven bids at $2,013,732 to win the construction contract.
Rieth-Riley will lengthen both the eastbound left turn and westbound right turn lanes on US 52 to accommodate increased traffic volume turning onto German Church Road. The project will also increase the area of the intersection to improve right turns.
Traffic will be maintained on both US 52 and German Church Road throughout the project as the highway is widened in two phases. The project will also widen and rehabilitate the US 52 bridge over Buck Creek located just east of the German Church Road intersection.
A construction schedule will be announced in the near future. For the latest INDOT news and information, visit www.indot.in.gov. |
