Entry Description
Southern, IN-Over the last several days, the Indiana State Police with the assistance of the Clark County Sheriff’s Department arrested five people on arrest warrants issued out of the Clark County Superior Court #2 for prescription drug related crimes.
The arrest warrants stem from an investigation that began back in April of 2011, by the Indiana State Police, Charlestown City Police, and the Clarksville Town Police, when a burglary took place at a doctor’s office in Charlestown. During the burglary blank controlled substance prescription pads were stolen. The stolen prescription pads were then allegedly filled out for controlled substances and taken to several pharmacies in Clark County to be filled. During the investigation several suspects that were using the stolen prescriptions were identified.
The following individuals were arrested for Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Fraud, D Felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance, D Felony.
1) Daniel P. Chester, 43, Charlestown, Indiana
2) Jo Kay Yenawine, 38, Charlestown, Indiana
3) Juston Johnson, 33, Charlestown, Indiana
4) Jacob Coomer, 35, Charlestown, Indiana
5) Daniele E. Blevins, 25, Otisco, Indiana
This investigation is continuing.
All subjects are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
