Switzerland County: On Friday, January 6, Detective Kip Main arrested 52 year old Daniel Lee Pierce of Vevay on several counts of child molesting and other related charges.  Detective Main began his investigation December 28, 2011 when the Switzerland County Child Protective Services contacted state police concerning the possible molestation of an eight year old female.  During the course of his investigation, Detective Main discovered in addition to the allegations concerning the eight year old, another 12 year old female was allegedly molested by Pierce.  The investigation subsequently led to the arrest of Pierce on January 6.  He was taken to the Switzerland County Jail and is facing one count of Child Molesting (Class A Felony), two counts of Child Molesting (Class C Felony), and two counts of Child Solicitation (Class D Felony).
