Pine Village, Warren County-Earlier this morning, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Indiana State Police Trooper Sean Swain responded to a single vehicle crash where a Pine Village man died at the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Dodge Caravan was east bound in the 6400 block of Independence Road at a high rate of speed; when the Caravan went around a curve, lost control, went off the south side of the road, over corrected and then began to slide sideways. The Dodge then hit a large tree, wrapping the front portion of the Caravan around the tree and splitting the Dodge in halve.
The driver, Isaac Vollmer, 23 of Pine Village, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner of massive blunt force trauma. Family has been notified.
