Landske Convenes Committee to Review
Indiana Code Dealing with Agriculture & Animals
(STATEHOUSE) Sen. Sue Landske (R-Cedar Lake) convened the Code Revision committee today to examine the agriculture and animal section of the Indiana Code.
“The Code Revision Commission provides legislators and other state officials the opportunity to review our state’s code and make sure there are no discrepancies, duplication or grammatical errors,” said Landske. “This summer we will be focusing on Title 15, which includes topics such as the Indiana State Fair, animal health and the Indiana Department of Agriculture.”
The Code Revision Commission functions as an advisory board to the Legislative Council and assists with supervising the compilation of the Indiana Code and the publication of the Indiana Register. Members assist in developing and revising the standards, techniques and formats used in preparing legislation.
Title 15 of the Indiana focuses on agriculture and animal issues and includes the following topics:
- Agricultural Fairs and Societies;
- Indiana State Fairs;
- Animal Health;
- Horticultural Control;
- Agricultural Commodities;
- Livestock and Animal Control ;
- Dairy Products; and
- Department of Agriculture
